My alternative is fake tanning. Good fake tanners do its job way more better, safer and faster than sun. I have used many fake tanners, have been blotchy and smelled like raw chicken biscuit. When being a beauty blogger I have discovered some great fake tan products, but most times I have given up on something to achieve my bronze look. I have been sometime blotchy, listened my husband's whining about the gross smell or worked my butt off when trying to achieve perfect flawless tan.
When Xen-Tan contacted me, I was more than happy to give it a try and I must say, it has been a great experience, because I wouldn't never known that self tanning can be so easy and quick.
So, onto my tanning ritual.
Scrubbing, scrubbing and more scrubbing. I used Xen-Tan Body Scrub that impressed me with its consistency. You know that sometimes it is a bit annoying and hard to get every spot of your body. This scrub is so smooth and a lot like body wash because it gives a great lather to work with. It smells like peppermint and gives extremely fresh and clean feeling afterwards that you want to use it even if you are not planning to use a self tanner. That is the reason I am almost running out of it :)
Next step is Xen-Tan Intense Mousse. I don't know what to begin with. It is a mousse like said before. It is tinted and you can see easily where you have already rubbed it and where not. It smells like cherries or candies, I am not sure yet. I am applying with my bare hands just to be sure to get even application. It goes on so smooth and absorbs very quickly- that is probably fact that it is a mousse.
So, when considering a colour, it is deep, not orange or red, but most natural olive undertone tan you can get. My mother actually thought I have been burning myself at the beach and I got lectured because of that.
First time the bottle seemed to be a bit small to me and I though that well, that must be only for a month, but it is a good investment as a little goes a loooong way!
As I can't and don't want to use usual tanners on my face, I use Xen-Tan Transform Face Tanner. When talking about my previous experiences with face tanners I must say that they can break out your skin really badly. I don't know what it is, but they feel usually greasy and break me out. I already had few break outs and I waited some time before I put this product on my face.
But when I did I noticed it didn't feel greasy, it didn't smell and was very light on face.
It is like using a moisturiser and having a great natural tan at the same time.
Now I use this gradual tanner every other morning as a moisturiser and my skin loves it.
So I was amazed and thought I find out on their website about this product and I didn't believe my eyes. It truly is a special thing!
Packed with powerful antioxidants that help nourish and protect the skin from damaging environmental factors, Xen-Tan Transform Face is an easy-to-use self-tanner and facial treatment in one.Well I would have been happy when it would be just a plain face tanner that does not break me out, but that is even better.
The expert time-release ingredient makes it easy to achieve a glowing, natural, even colour. At the same time, vitamin E and gentle fruit acids help smooth the delicate skin of the face and throat, while Green Tea, Milk Thistle and Aloe soothe even the most sensitive of skins.
Gentle enough to use every day, the lightweight formulation guarantees it feels weightless and looks great with or without make-up.
All three on my hand. Face tanner, mousse and body scrub.
That should be about it. What I love the most is the whole process that takes so few time, because they go on so easy and smooth. Who wants to waist their summer on scrubbing their fake tan desperately in to achieve polished and perfect look, right?
Happy safe tanning to you all!
