Quite long time ago I was sent few hair products by Neäl & Wølf to test out. I have almost used up some of these and am totally thrilled about these. As you know I have long and dry hair and I like to keep my hair care very simple. I believe that less is always more!
First I must say that this company is so different and original. They express themselves in a very creative, but also luxurious way. But I didn't let the first impressions about the products and company in general ruin my objectivity.
So I tried out five products and here are my opinions about these.
Daily Cleansing Shampoo is infused with milk proteins and liquid shea that should leave hair healthy and shiny. I have no information about the hair types that it should be the best to, but it was great to my hair. Shampoo creates very rich and luxurious lather that smells like expensive perfume. It feels like it is very gentle to hair, so I wouldn't recommend it to very greasy hair as it felt at the same time very moisturising. My hair were silky and that even before adding my hair conditioner. I am impressed!
Only downside is lack of directions on the packaging. They have full directions on the website, but this is not convenient at all.
Daily Conditioner is as good as shampoo. Adds just the right amount of moisture and is not too overwhelming to my hair. I mean it is just like whipped cream by its consistency - is not too thick and not too liquid. Smells again very nice!
Huge plus to me is knowledge that it contains sunscreens in it, so it protects hair from environmental damage.
Another advantage - packaging! You do not have to spend your time in the shower abusing almost empty bottles to get every last product out.
Intensive Care Treatment is probably my very favorite from these. It is meant for dry and damaged hair that need huge repair. I use it once or twice a week (depends on the condition of my hair) as a hair mask. It is so creamy, so moisturising and leaves hair smooth. You know that feeling when you just visited some good hair salon? - Hair feels almost too good to be true. It gives the same effect!
This product will be definitely the one I keep buying over and over again.
And last but not least I tried two styling products.
Heat Protection includes silk protein that locks moisture in hair and protects against heat up to 220°C. I never let my hair go so hot, but it is good to know anyway.There were times when I didn't even use heat protection and because of that I refused to use styling tools as well. The reason of that was the fact that every single heat protection I used made my hair flat, greasy and not attractive at all. So I usually ended up washing my hair again.
I must admit, I thought that this product can't be better, because it is just my hair that responses like that.
Turns out that it is nothing like the other protections. It really does leave my hair very natural, not flat at all and I believe it also does its job by protecting my hair, because my hair feels healthier even if I use straightener more often now.
Super Shine Spray is basically a weightless spray that adds deep and lasting shine to hair. It should be used on dry hair to add shine, erase static and frizz. It feels like it is a little bit oily and that is probably the deal with the shine.
I am not gonna lie - I didn't get along with it at all. At first I thought it would be great to my hair, because of dry ends and its oily consistency. It really adds very natural shine and has got very nice smell again, but it is not for me. It made my hair flat and a little bit too greasy after few hours.
So I handed it out yo my lovely mother to make sure it is only all about my bad and naughty hair.
Turned out she loves it! She has got coarse hair and has been struggling with frizz almost forever. The extra shine shows up especially in the sunshine or daylight.
At the end of this review I must admit that my hair is in better condition after using Neäl & Wølf and it should be so, because these are quite pricey products. But after all it makes a good investment if you want your hair to experience luxury and improve its condition.
I am considering buying more when I am done with these.
